Why Sign Up Now For The Simulcast?

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 02:24 PM PST

If you are a church or small group interested in signing up for the April 6 simulcast on Good Friday we encourage you to register as soon as possible.  Here are some things to consider:

Host Church Registration

Early Bird Registraton – If you register before March 1, you will be able to purchase the simulcast at a significant discount.  The price per participant (with Early Bird Registration) is approximately $7 per person.

Promotional Materials – When you register your church for the Secret Church simulcast you receive promotional items to help you in communicating your participation in the simulcast.  You will receive printable materials such as posters and bulletin inserts as well as media resources like web banners to advertise the simulcast on the web. This will enable your church to begin promoting Secret Church in advance.

Promotional Videos – Videos will be provided for you to assist you in communicating what Secret Church is and introduce the topic for study – “The Cross and Suffering”.

Newsletters & Updates – LifeWay will keep you up to date on everything you need to know to host a Secret Church simulcast with newsletters that contain helpful reminders and tips to assist you with the simulcast.

Technical Support – Hosting Secret Church in a larger setting requires some preparation and testing.  LifeWay Technical Support staff will be available to you from the time you register until the simulcast concludes on Good Friday.  In addition, there are mandatory testing dates you will want to take advantage of to test your connection in preparation for Good Friday.

Easter Weekend -The topic for Good Friday is “The Cross and Suffering”.   As a church, you may want to incorporate the simulcast into your preparations for Easter weekend. Signing up early will enable you to plan and prepare for your time together throughout the weekend.

Small Group Registration

Early Bird Registraton – If you register before March 1, you will be able to purchase the simulcast at a significant discount.  The price per participant (with Early Bird Registration) is approximately $7 per person.

Promotional Materials – As a small group you will receive promotional materials to assist you in communicating your participation in the simulcast.  Some of the resources are for use on the web and can be embedded in blogs, on Facebook, etc.  Most of these resources are exclusive to simulcast registrants.

Identifying with the Persecuted Church – As a small group you have some flexibility to personalize your night of study and make the evening particularly meaningful. During Secret Church we will be in prayer for a people or region of the world where followers of Christ are persecuted for their faith.  As a small group you can begin to learn about the people we are praying for and begin to pray in specific ways for those in that region prior to the simulcast.

You also have the opportunity to enrich your time together by immersing your group in the culture of the region. One suggestion would be to create an environment the night of the simulcast like that of the region we are praying for.  You could play music or have a meal with similar foods from that region before the simulcast begins.

The people/region that we are praying for will be announced first to those who have registered.  There will also be additional prayer resources made available to churches and small groups registered for the simulcast.

Technical Support – Hosting Secret Church is very simple but it does require some preparation and testing.  LifeWay Technical Support staff will be available to you from the time you register until the simulcast concludes on Good Friday.  In addition, there are a few mandatory testing dates you will want to take advantage of to test your connection in preparation for Good Friday.
