Secret Church – Not Just For One Night Posted: 14 Sep 2011 03:48 AM PDT The purpose of Secret Church is not just for the participants who come together for one night. “We want participants to come away with an insatiable hunger for God's Word and we want people, when they leave, to be equipped to share what they've learned with others. No matter what it costs, we want every nation, tribe, tongue, and people group to hear and have the opportunity to respond to the gospel. That's what Secret Church is primarily about.” – David Platt Secret Church in Nicaragua “We praise God for Brook Hills and your passion for equipping the people of God with the Word of God here and around the world! Our team lost our church building during the tornado that came through on April 27th. We lost three church members, three of our mission team members lost their homes and one team member lost three of his family members. Despite everything, each one remained faithful to go on this mission trip and God faithfully provided all the funds each team member needed. We even received extra funds which enabled us to purchase 28 flash drives to load up with Secret Church materials! It was amazing because we were able to relate in a very real way to many of these pastors who don’t even have a church building and instead meet in their homes. Our team truly felt like the most beneficial thing that God used us to do there was to host a pastors (and pastor’s wives) conference, and give each pastor a flash drive containing the Secret Church materials in their language. They were even more excited to hear that Secret Church is like compact seminary training on that one little “stick”.
