Pray for the Persecuted

“Please pray for us.”

Prayer is the number-one request of our persecuted brothers and sisters when we ask how we can help them. And prayer is something we can all do.

Sunday, Nov. 3, marks this year's International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. The Voice of the Martyrs selected this day to officially launch a new prayer initiative for our persecuted family: www.iCommitToPray.com.

As someone who has been receiving weekly prayer requests by e-mail and praying for the persecuted church, we invite you to be among the first to visit the new site and join this online prayer movement.

Please complete your registration at www.iCommitToPray.com now, and add your prayers for the three requests now on the site. Also feel free to share your feedback with The Voice of the Martyrs.

If you have been receiving prayer request e-mails through VOMGroups, you will now receive prayer e-mails from iCommitToPray.com. But in order to join this community of prayer and add your own prayers on the site, you must complete the simple registration process by providing your name and establishing a password. CLICK HERE to register now.

Additional prayer needs of persecuted Christians will be highlighted on the site each week. And each week you will be invited to post your prayers specifically for persecuted family members suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ.

Whenever possible, VOM will share your posted prayers with the persecuted brothers and sisters highlighted on the site.

Please add your voice to those of Christians around the world who are committing to pray, and invite your Christian friends to join you. Register today, and join our online community of prayer for the persecuted.

Pray for Pastor Yiorvis Denis and his church members

CUBA: Pastor Yiorvis Bravo Denis, 28, is currently under house arrest along with other members of his house church in Camagüey, Cuba. Pastor Yiorvis obtained the house from his uncle, who in 2008, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for his Christian activities. Now the Cuban government is seeking to evict the pastor from the house, which also serves as his house church. Since October 5th, state security, police and Communist Party members have surrounded the house, shouting slogans and curses at the believers. Please pray for Pastor Yiorvis and his church members.

A photo taken with the cellphone of one of the house church members trapped inside the house. Police, state security and members of the neighborhood Communist Party are surrounding the house.
