| “Secret Church Changed My Life” – Valerie’s Story Posted: 03 Oct 2011 02:43 PM PDT My name is Valerie. I attended Secret Church on Good Friday, 2011, at First Baptist Woodstock. I grew up in a christian home and believed I had been saved as a child. There were many things in my life over the past couple of years that had me questioning where I stood before God. I went into Secret Church that night with an all out plea to the Lord to show me where I was, and what my next step should be. That night during David’s teaching the Lord brought to reality what I had felt for sometime. I had lived my life as a head knowledge christian and had never let the truth touch my heart. I knew the truth but never believed it or lived it. That night brought change in my life. I prayed to receive Christ as my Savior and Lord and began my journey as a child of God. The past few months have held many ups and downs but through the knowledge I had received that night, and the way that the Lord has continued to speak so clearly to me, I continue to have hope to overcome. God has already allowed me to be used to encourage and challenge others in their walk with Him. I thank God for the ministry He has given David Platt and the obedience that he shows each time that he stands to teach the Word. I continue to be reminded of things from the message that night and the challenge draws me continually closer to God. Continue to press on!
