Reflections from the Horn—Part 3 Posted: 03 May 2012 03:00 AM PDT Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and will be posting his reflections throughout the week. Photo Courtesy of Daniel Phillips We were able to spend time with those serving both mid-term and long-term. This gave us a unique glimpse into the joys, the struggles, and the needs they face as they do ministry and do life, all in a culture far from home. They are in many ways just normal people with a variety of giftings. Not all that different from what you might see in any small group of believers gathered together. I have seen first-hand that all followers of Christ need to get serious about the Great Commission and be obedient to Christ's command wherever that leads. Pray: Pray for Christian workers and their children who are serving in the Horn of Africa. Ask for grace as they adjust to a new culture and learn a new language (or languages!). Pray for those serving together will be unified in purpose and encourage one other. Pray that God will call more workers to go to the Horn of Africa. Throughout the month of April, we focused on praying for the people of the Horn of Africa. Will you continue to lift them up with us?
