| Reflections from the Horn—Part 4 Posted: 04 May 2012 03:00 AM PDT Jim Warren, Executive Director of Radical, had the opportunity to travel to the Horn of Africa just one week after Secret Church and spend time with friends who are serving among the people of the Horn of Africa. We asked him to share about his time in the Horn and have posted his reflections throughout this week. There are two distinct impressions I came away with. The first is that their objective is a worthy one; make the Good News of Jesus known among some of the hardest to reach people groups on the planet. The second impression is that their mission is our mission, as well. We need to join in with the work going on in the Horn (or wherever God leads you) spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and financially. Every one of us can pray, we can learn, we can care, and we can go. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available through a number of missions and humanitarian organizations. In short, there is no barrier to joining in this mission given to us by Christ Himself. Take the first step of obedience today! Pray:
Throughout the month of April, we focused on praying for the people of the Horn of Africa. Will you continue to lift them up with us? Visit Pray for the Horn for additional information, stories, and prayer requests. |
