| SC 10 // A PASTOR’S PERSPECTIVE ON SESSION #2 Posted: 04 May 2011 11:00 AM PDT BY Mark Marshall We have a 10 minute break between sessions. Not long, but I believe it will keep people engaged without losing their train of thought. There is a lot of chatter between sessions. People are obviously loving the experience. Though we are a simulcast location, the people here seem to be fully engaged. We are at the half way point. There is no sign of fatigue. If anything, the energy level is higher now than when we started. David showed a couple of pictures of groups gathered in homes and church buildings as we are gathered in Franklin, TN. Great way to get us to feel connected to the larger group. So far, David has walked us through an understanding salvation begins with God. He has also drawn a clear picture from Scripture of our need for a Savior. As a Pastor, it is a blessing to have this many of my folks hear this from a different voice. That's part of the blessing of Secret Church for me. I want the people I serve to understand it really is about the message and not the messenger. By hearing the message from a different voice it will be fresh. Session 3, here we go! ________ Please respond to the following: Do you listen to different voices as teachers or do you primarily listen to only 1 or 2? As a pastor, I'm curious if other pastors feel it is best for your people to hear God's Word taught from multiple voices? ________ Mark holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas and a bachelor of science degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
