Mar. 06, 2014 | Iran Pray for Pastor's Recovery from Surgery Pastor Behnam Irani, who has suffered complications as a result of stomach ulcers and intestinal problems, underwent surgery on Feb. 22 at Shahid Madani Hospital in Karaj. The surgery was said to be successful, and the pastor is doing well. He was scheduled to return to prison on Feb. 26. When the pastor first began serving his six-year prison term in May 2011, he was subjected to sleep deprivation and physical torture. Prison officials were said to have ordered daily beatings even though he was already in poor health and suffered from bleeding stomach ulcers. Despite his poor health, he is in good spirits. His wife, 12-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son miss him very much and are concerned for his physical well-being. One of the attackers has a daughter who attends the same school as the victim’s daughter, and the Muslim women attacked the Christian woman in front of the school after she dropped off her daughter. Although the Christian family has transferred their daughter to a new school, it is a difficult adjustment. Less than one percent of those living in Morocco are Christians, and the government carefully monitors all Christian activities. Post Your Prayer Mar. 06, 2014 | China Praise for Wenxi Li's Evangelism Efforts During a recent visit, Wenxi Li, who is imprisoned for his faith, excitedly told family members that several more prisoners have become Christians as a result of his evangelism. Wenxi, who was imprisoned for his role with a Christian book store, was permitted to visit with his wife and family in January 2014. His wife, Cai Hong Li, reports that he is doing well. Wenxi was sentenced to two years in prison for his role with Enyu Bookstore in Taiyuan in June 2013 and has been in prison since his arrest in December 2012.
