At least 29 students, all teenage boys, were killed in the overnight attack. Before carrying out the deadly attack, the Islamists rounded up the female students and told them to go home to their families, get married and stop their school studies. They then began hurling explosives and spraying gunfire into the student dorms where students were sleeping. Five of those arrested were released, but the three others, including Amin Khaki, Hossein Barunzadeh and Rahman Bahman, remain in custody. Amin is a deacon in the fellowship led by Behnam Irani, who has been detained since May 2011. Security agents reportedly had arrest warrants for both Amin and Hossein, and their arrests are thought to be part of a broader attempt to limit activities of known ministry leaders throughout the country.
