| Will the Simulcast Really End at Midnight??? Posted: 12 Mar 2014 10:30 PM PDT If you’ve been around Secret Church for any amount of time, you may be wondering if this year’s simulcast will go beyond midnight. And while we can assure you that no one from your group will turn into a pumpkin, we can’t promise that the twelfth stroke of midnight will find you shutting down your computer and heading home. If the trend you veteran simulcasters picked up on continues, the chances of Secret Church being over by 12:01 A.M. are slim. We won’t go so far as to say the chances are none, though. We try to be done on time. The last thing we want is for people in your groups to give up and head home because it goes so late they start falling asleep… we’re getting tired at midnight, too! But in order to mentally prepare your group, make sure they know that you’re in for a long night together. Our goal will be to wrap up on time, but we may go over by as much as 15 minutes. Although history tells us that Secret Church can go long, it also tells us that most people won’t feel like the night is 6+ hours long… especially when they’re properly “prepped.” So tell them to think of it like the tenth inning of a good ballgame: free baseball. |
