| Suffering from a Secret Church deficiency? Here’s a “home” remedy. Posted: 01 May 2014 10:01 PM PDT So you wish Secret Church happened more than once-a-year. Did you know that you can access all of the past Secret Church teaching on the Radical website? With the resources from previous Secret Church studies, you can host your own Secret Church any time you want to. Here’s how it works best. First, we would love to know about any Secret Church gathering you plan. Filling out this short questionnaire enables us to help you with any potential hurdles you may encounter so that your Secret Church runs smoothly. We can even provide you with promotional materials to help you get the word out about your gathering. Second, access video of the teaching online along with the study guide. You can download/view both online totally free of charge. OR, if you’d rather have a DVD or spiral bound study guides, we have those in our online store. Third, host a group in your home (or church) in the format best fit for you. Re-create the live simulcast with musical worship, times of prayer, breaks, and watch the whole thing in one evening. OR, break it up into several weeks, viewing only a chunk at a time, and then take some time to discuss and unpack it all as a group. The options are endless. (Not-So-) Fine Print: Some groups and churches have been inspired to put on their own Secret-Church-like gathering, but without using Secret Church resources. For example, we know of pastors who have emulated the Secret Church format of prayer for the persecuted and intense Bible study, but who’ve wanted to use their own material. That’s awesome! We are totally behind that. However, because “Secret Church” is copyrighted and directly tied to Pastor David, we’d simply ask that you call it something different. So get going! You don’t have to wait until next Good Friday to dive into some great Bible study. We’ve got 13 (soon-to-be 14) topics for you to choose from and would be thrilled to help in any way we can. Join us in praying for this spiritually dark area of the world, and as you do, be sure to take advantage of the 31-day prayer guide. While walking through a city in Southeastern Turkey with a group of short-term volunteers we turned down a narrow passageway running between stalls filled with coppersmiths. One particular piece copper caught the eye of a volunteer. As he inspected the piece another coppersmith just behind us seized the opportunity to engage this curious group of Americans. His name was Ismail. He wore a prayer cap and long beard, and he began to tell us of the beauties of Islam and our misguided faith in Christ.
