SC14 Stories: Live Translation in Mexico Posted: 04 May 2014 10:01 PM PDT On Good Friday, south of the Arizona state border in the city of Nogales, Mexico, a group of 13 adults met to simulcast Secret Church 14. While most simulcast participants probably encountered some difficulty in keeping up with the pace of the night, Pastor Noe experienced this difficulty on a whole different level. He served Iglesia Bíblica el Cordero de Dios as the translator for the night, communicating the message in real time. Where he fell behind, the study guide (which they had been able to translate ahead of time) supplemented, and all in all, the night was a success. Pastor Noe said that their congregation was encouraged by the prayer focus. He also told us that the SC 14 teaching has helped them freshly consider some ideas that they are discussing in their regular meetings as a church. Thankfully, by God’s grace, language was not too big a barrier for them to overcome. We praise God for the blessing of being joined by these brothers and sisters at Secret Church, and more importantly, for the privilege of being a part of the global Church with them.
